  1. What service does VanStart provide?

    VanStart is Vancouver's most up-to-date Internet Directory. We provide free listings of relevant websites through link exchange (or reciprocal linking).

  2. How long will the offer for a free listing last?

    Your first listing (of your website) is a free service for as long as you link back to the VanStart directory. To have your site listed in multiple categories or pages, you can buy a VanStart Sponsor Listing.

  3. Why is there a free listing in your Directory? What does VanStart get out of it?

    By providing a free listing for everyone VanStart is quickly becoming one of the most complete web directories of Vancouver. Of course I hope you enjoy your listing so much that you want to buy more listings, or buy an advertisement.

    If you are happy with just one listing on the appropriate page, then enjoy my service for free! All you have to do is link to the VanStart Directory and become a VanStart Link Partner.

  4. What is a "VanStart Link Partner"?

    VanStart Link Partners are linking partners with VanStart (reciprocal links). New Link Partners get listed above the regular listings.

  5. How can I become a "VanStart Link Partner"?

    Link back to VanStart. Applying is free, and I will review your application within a few days.

  7. How can I change a listing?

    Email me your changes by resubmitting your web address and leave a short description about what we should change in the "comments" box.

  8. Can I get my listing in bold?

    Yes! Just link back to VanStart (reciprocal link) and e-mail me your website address. Advertisers also automatically get listed in bold.

  9. How long will my listing stay in bold?

    As long as you are linking back to VanStart, your listing will be in bold, at the top of the appropriate category. You can also become a sponsor (paid listing) if you do not want to link back. Advertisers are listed in bold for a full year.

  10. How can I remove my listing?

    Visit the contact page and leave your removal request in the comment box.

  11. Are there any other directories where I can list my business for free?

    Yes! Here are three, starting with the most important one:

    - Google Internet Directory, Category: Vancouver

    You can list yourself here by going to the most appropriate category and then click the link "submit a site".

    - Shop in Vancouver

    Click "List your Business" (bottom of the page). Signing up is free.

    - SearchOn Vancouver

    You will find the "Add URL" link at the bottom of the page. Free.
